Roast The Warlock

I am not sure if you know this or not, but tonight on Comedy Central they are showing the Roast Of Charlie Sheen.

Now most of you know that I am a fan of Charlie Sheen (after all I have written about him here, here, here, here, and here) so you know that I will be watching this.

I am also a fan of the Comedy Central Roast’s as they are normally pretty damn funny. I saw the preview for the Charlie Sheen Roast and it looked good.

I really love the Roast’s that Comedy Central does because they tend be pretty damn funny and truthful all at the same time. I mean look at the one that they did for Pam Anderson where they all made fun of Courtney Love because she was completely shitfaced.

In addition to having everyone make fun of each other, the Roast’s also donate money to charity that is raised through the event. On a side note I wonder what kind of charity Charlie Sheen is donating the money to? Blow for Lindsay? Recycle used stripper poles? Cheap button up shirts for the homeless?

Well whatever charity this cornucopia of insults generates one thing is true, this roast will be pretty damn funny.

And don’t you think it is ironic that this roast is airing at the same exact time on the same exact as the first episode of Two And A Half Men without Charlie in it is airing on CBS? I could tell you which one I will be watching, but chances are you already know which one I will be watching.

  1. I'll be watching from my hotel room, wearing a cheap rayon bowling shirt and with a goddess in each arm.

  2. I am not a fan of Charlie Sheen. Sorry.

  3. Haha, for sure the money went to recycle stripper poles. Even the poor need them! lol. I will have to find this online, I bet it is hilarious!

  4. @ Lass, same here.

@ Lost, you are my hero.

@ Eva, not everyone is so it is ok.

@ Texa, you are very right about the poles.

  5. I know it hasn't aired yet, but my most favorite joke from the commercials for this roast are "How much [drug name] did Charlie do? Enough to kill two-and-a-half men." That alone will make me watch it. Though I'll probably wait until the uncensored one shows up on Netflix or OnDemand.

  6. I am not holding out a lot of hope on this one. Lisa Lampanelli isn't on and she is great at roasting people. I still miss Greg Giraldo, but unless they are digging him up he won't be there. They didn't last year so I'm gonna say no for this one too.
I will still give it a shot. I am a trooper.

  7. I wonder which one will get the better ratings.

I heard Seth's clip comparing Sheen's obituary to Amy Winehouse's. Seems to soon, but was unsettlingly funny.

  8. Probably will miss both. I always forget.

  9. @ Joshua, that is a good joke.

@ Ruth, I did not know Lisa Lampanelli was not on this one. She is one hilarious woman.

@ Stephanie, I am sure the roast will get better ratings.

    @ Barb, don't forget. lol

  10. Won't get to watch either, but I wonder how many will watch the episode just to see how bad they are going to fall.

I like Chalrie Sheen and the show is all him. Without him, I hope it falls flat!

  11. Can't wait to see it... I've had it on my calendar for a month. But I don't know about the timing out were you are, but here, Two and a Half Men comes on at 9, and the roast will come on Comedy Central at 10. Maybe it's a Central Time thing...

These roasts kill me though... doesn't even matter who they're roasting, because the panel spends most of its time insulting each other.

    No Lisa Lampanelli?? Dammit!

  14. The 2 shows are on back to back tonight over here, so I don't have to choose. I can't imagine two and a half men without Charlie, but I can't look away from the train wreck either. Looking forward to the roast though.

  15. I watched both. THe show was hilarious, and the roast, eh, not that impresse to be honest. There were a few good lines, but for the most part it was just mindless jabber about nothing. It wasn't funny to me.

  16. I was thinking the EXACT same thing: how appropriate to air this on the same night they decide to "kill" his character on his old show.

Please do try to go on Twitter and read all that Lisa Lampanelli had to say, and if you read her tweets one after the other (starting from the oldest one) you'll feel like she (coulda been) sitting on the couch watching the roast with you. Man she is HILARIOUS!

  17. I just can't stand the sight of that bleepin bleep. I'm glad to have missed both. The way they wrote him off the show sounds incredibly stupid.

  18. What did you think of the roast? HBO/Cinemax has been showing Wall Street and the new Wall Street--he really made that original movie...and Douglas, of course. I wish they had done more with his character in the new film, to be honest (instead of just a cameo).

  21. I'm not sure Two and a Half Men will make it without CS, but I thought Ashton Kutcher did a good job. There. I said it. And you can't make me take it back.

  23. After watching half of it I can only assume they're giving money to diabetes or maybe to buy Steve-O a brain.

  26. Hey, you! Sorry it took me so long to make my way over here. I was glad to see a relatively new post! :) My husband watched the roast with Charlie Sheen, but I didn't. I kept meaning to watch it, but now I think it is deleted. Those roasts are hilarious!
