Do You Watch Porn At Work?

No?

Well don’t feel bad, I don’t watch porn at work either.

But some people do, and sometimes we (us tax paying for us) get to pay for people to watch porn at work.

Do you remember when housing market was going tits up? Well the guys over at the SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) were supposed to be watching the market go tits up and not some porn stars tits bounce up and down. Which it came out that a lot of them were watching porn at work. I guess this explains why my 401K got fucked around the same time.

Well it gets even better.

This week here in Houston it has been reported that this guy right here was busted watching porn at work on his personal computer using the company network. No he is not some low level guy either; he is the CEO of METRO (you know the Metropolitan Transit Authority funded with our tax dollars). Yes I said he is the CEO of Metro, you know the people who run the buses and the play cho-cho train that goes between two points no one really wants to go.

So what punishment did he get you ask? Well he got suspended without pay for a week which is going to cost him $4,500. Yes he did not get fired and yes this guy makes roughly $234,000 a year.

The thing that pisses me off is that the paper’s story said that his punishment was more severe than it normally is. Huh? You mean you get busted watching porn at work and you get less punishment than a week off without pay? I am curious to know how many times you have to get busted watching porn at work before you get fired. I know in the private sector you would get fired for this.

The funny thing in all of this is that this guy was brought in to replace the previous guy who was fired for gross corruption. Way to go cleaning it up, keep up the good work.

The one glaring comment I have is do we really need someone running and cleaning up Metro that is not smart enough to at least get a broad band card or an i-Phone to watch porn at work so he doesn't get caught?

  1. No doubt, he's a dumbass. So...basically, isn't he a public servant? And that's all that happens to him?

  2. @ Lurker, yep.

@ Janie, yes he is a public servant.

  3. I am so out of it. I didn't even know about this story! What an idiot. I'm not surprised, though. Have you been on a Metro bus or the Metrorail lately? It can sometimes be a scary place! (Okay, not that scary. Maybe just creepy.)

  4. Way to go dummy. Doesnt look like it really hurt his job though. Bet he investing in a smart phone with lots of porn apps on it riGht now!

  5. That totally reminds me of this one British sketch where the boss comes in and informs the staff that the office will no longer allow wanking.

Maybe he should get a job at that library in NY that now allows porn viewing?

  6. @ Kelley, the story just broke last week. And no I avoid Metro buses like they have Ebola because of that fact.

@ Texa, exactly. Hell he probably already had a smart phone.

@ Ts, that is hilarious. I did not know they had a library for porn, but then again nothing New York does shocks me anymore.

  7. But... but.. it helps keep me calm at work! I'm so much more productive after I've splattered my keyboard with baby juice!

    Ugh... horrible...

  8. I think it is a prerequisite these days that in order to get into a very high up position you have be stupid.

  9. I couldn't watch porn at work if I tried... they're way too aggressive at blocking offensive sites. In fact, they have my own blog blocked as a porn site, which pisses me off no end.

My site's not porn, so they can suck my balls and pound sand straight up their asses.

OK, maybe they have a point...

  10. See this is why I don’t touch public computers.

  11. That's pretty bad that this dude couldn't at least wait until he got home. Maybe he doesn't have enough to do at work. I know some days I don't have time for lunch, let alone wank it at my desk.

  12. @ Lost, each to his own?

@ Ruth, that is so beyond true you don't even know it.

@ Bluz, you crack me up.

    @ Drake, exactly.

    @ J-Tony, I don't ever have time for lunch.

  15. I'm telling you, the higher up people go and the more money they make goes to their heads. They think they are invincible. Assholes! That's all I can say about them.

  16. @ Weed, that does happen.

@ Pat, yes it sure is.

@ Brandy, yep you said it.

@ Barb, that is so true.

  17. Unbelievable that the guy didn't get fired! You're right...he surely would in the private sector.

  18. Yeah he got off (haha) light, but then Ron Jeremy got caught watching porn at work and got REWARDED!

  20. When the President of the company I'm currently working for interviewed me for the position, he made it a point, a few times, to let me know viewing pornography is grounds for termination. Apparently I look like some sort of porn addicted deviant. Point is, TERMINATION!

    ReplyDelete
  21. @ Eva, yes he would.

@ Katsidhe, that joke was great.

@ Becca, yes that is a good idea for a pill.

@ Vixen, well I guess you could be taken as a chick that likes porn. lol

  22. Makes total sense...higher up you are the more you delegate and the more time you have on your hands. They also have this sense of safety and total assholishness (I'm making up a new word) like they are entitled to do whatever they want while those under him slave to do what is most likely his job. What a dick.

  23. I need a gov't job. Not that I watch porn, at work (or ever) but the sh*t you can get away with is AMAZING. God, this country is sad...

    ReplyDelete
  24. The fact that he was thick enough to use a company computer to look at porn shows he isn't suitable for the job.

    ReplyDelete
  25. No need for porn. I've found my imagination is more than sufficient.

    ReplyDelete
  26. How can anyone enjoy looking at that anywhere but in the comforts of home?

  27. One time at work Imtried to look up the website for the sporting goods store 'Dicks.' Btw it is not dicks.com, that takes you somewhere completely different but the point is I sat around in fear for 3 months before I realized that the government is too damn lazy to care what I look at while I'm at work. It's a gov't thing.

  29. First off, I see you are hitting 300 Followers any minute now! WOW - Let me be one of the first to say - Damn fine work, Mr. Oilfield Trash, damn fine indeed!

Okay, on to your post - excellent! But don't give those SOB's any suggestions on how to do "it" without getting caught. Slimy lot some of those overly paid gov't whackers are - seems they are in every country - we've got more than our share here too!

One day...maybe in our lifetime still (here's hoping) things of this nature will get its just reward - that would be a free one way trip to populate Mars!

    Just sayin'...Cheers, Jenny

  30. I used to support the CFO of a company here in Mpls who had TONS of porn saved on his computer. The only thing I knew about the guy was that he never gave me any work to do -- it wasn't until my friend in IT came across all his "work files" that I realized why.

That guy didn't have TIME to work!

    Still creeped out,

    Pearl

  31. Can he get disability now because it's a disease - addictive porn watching. Or maybe we need to pay for him to go to rehab and then watch it on Reality TV and feel bad for him? Maybe he could sue the sites that made him addicted to porn? But for sure we should pay for it. ALL of it. Read my post today - maybe he likes to poop in pools too??
    :)

  32. What a dummy. A smartphone, a data account and YouPorn is all it takes. Wait. What?

  33. As bad as I am (and I...uh...am) and as as much of a knucklehead I can be (I...uh...can be), I would never think it was a great idea to watch porn at work.
    That's what home is for.

  34. Thankfully my job is to watch porn at work, so it kinda works itself out.

    ReplyDelete
  35. You would think he would be smart enough to not get caught. lol. Good point.

  36. This turns my stomach. A friend of mine once said that men really won't bust other men for this kind of thing because they do it themselves. I wonder if his superiors were mostly men?? I also wonder if it had been a woman, would she have lost her job? I've never watched porn, so I guess I don't understand the appeal.

These kinds of stories really test my hope. To me, it's just a changed world. Pretty sure I was born in the wrong era.

  37. Dumbass. I watched more than one person get fired for looking at porn back when I was working. How embarrassing would that be to go home and tell your spouse that you were fried for something as stupid as porn?

    ReplyDelete
  38. Just awarded you a "Liebster award."
OK, gotta run, porn to watch, dontcha know.

    ReplyDelete
  39. i admit it. i look at naked women all damn day at work.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Honestly? He can't wait until he gets home like the rest of us?

My other half is always telling me he gets porn pop-ups on the computer. Not just porn, but gay porn, racial porn, and all sorts of crazy shit. He fried several laptops and a few desktops as well as having and changing email accounts more frequently than a newborns diaper- because of all the porn spam...

Funny, I use the same computers, logged in under his profile and NEVER any porn spam or pop-ups. WTF? I guess it's only there when you go looking for it? Can I trade him and the computer in for a new one? a cleaner version?

    ReplyDelete
  41. It always seems the highter ups have a different set of rules. I know if I were caught, I would get fired. We have people get fired just for saying they were pissed about something.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Dude...I guess I just "assumed" that most work place computer systems had some kind of "big brother" system watching that kind of shit so that you CAN'T access "inappropriate" websites. Seriously - I get all paranoid about big brother watching my web activities that I avoid getting on social media sites on work computers. Besides, doesn't everyone have a friggin' smartphone these days?! GAH! Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.

  43. This story helps clarify why exactly the world is in the sad state that it is. When you have dumb asses running the financial systems, infrastructure and everything else that the rest of us 'little people' have come to rely on in modern society, eventually the whole thing is going to come crashing down.
